Topic : Flat Pans / Super Flat Pans

What is the difference between a Flat and a Super Flat Finishing Pan?

The Finishing Pans has the advantage due to its size : it covers a large amount of concrete surface. Keep in mind, it  also has to be flat enough to ensure an even floor finish.

There are two types of pans available: The Flat Pan and the Super Flat Pan. Basically, the first one is flat and the second one is flatter.

The Flat Pan is often used on projects which the concrete surface does not need to be super flat in case the concrete is covered with carpet or ceramic for example.

The pan flatness is calculated by the gap between the middle and the side of it. The Flat Pan has a 1/4’’ to 3/8’’ rise from center.

Then, the Super Flat Pan is the flattest you can have. They are mainly used to reach a high FF number of a super flat floor. It has a 0’’ – 1/8’’ rise from center.

Depending on your needs in terms of concrete finishing, the flatness of the pan has a big influence on the concrete outcome.
